Roswell

Welcome to Roswell

A charming town bursting with culture and history

A quaint town with a rich history, Roswell has the best of everything to offer. The small-town feel is paired with a quick commute to Atlanta and access to incredible entertainment, including sports games. You’ll never lack things to do here, the community is friendly, and there’s a ton of gorgeous green space, which is why Roswell has received many accolades as one of the best places to live in the country.

The town was founded around Roswell Manufacturing Company. From there, a mill was built to harness the power of the local rivers to make textiles. There were many ups and downs for this community through the civil war and rebuilding after fires, but it persevered to become the thriving community it is today.

Roswell is diverse and eclectic when it comes to housing. Historic homes mix with new constructions, blending seamlessly together to create a melting pot of architecture. You’ll find everything from large estates to quaint bungalows here. Enjoy the convenience of a townhouse, or find a beautiful single-family home in one of Roswell’s master-planned subdivisions.

Canton Street is the beating heart of Roswell’s shopping and dining. Located in the center of the historic downtown, this quaint street is lined with local cafes and charming boutiques.

A Canton Street staple, Gate City Brewing Company, is a two-story taproom that serves up to 20 house-brewed beers at any given time.

Just down the street, you can find all the latest trends in women’s fashion at Belle | Mode. Things to Do

The city of Roswell is very intentional about creating a community with a high quality of living, and a huge part of that is making sure there are plenty of things to do and ways to connect to your neighbors.

Roswell has a full calendar of community events. During the summer, there’s a free summer concert series at City Hall called Music on the Hill. The city also has free outdoor fitness classes. Every month, the city hosts Alive in Roswell. This festival has music, food vendors, interactive booths, and tons of family-friendly games and entertainment.

Stroll across the covered bridge to a stunning view of the historic dam and waterfall at Old Mill Park. From there, you can access miles of walking trails maintained by the National Park Service. Bulloch Hall is one of a trio of southern museums. It’s housed in a Greek revival mansion and offers tours through its historic halls.
